Dorcas  Guild

Dorcas (or Tabitha) was a Christian at Joppa, who was known for her charitable works and her skill and generosity in making clothing. She was raised from death by Peter (Acts 9:36-42). Her name is perpetuated in the later Dorcas Societies of church women devoted to good works.

Our Dorcas Guild is for all ladies who attend Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Please watch the bulletin and online church calendar for updates. The Guild does not meet in the summer.

Responsibilities include:

Elected officers and other interested ladies gather for guild meetings. Here, the foundations for service and missions are laid. Ideas are shared and decisions made; establishing how the women of Prince of Peace will carry out the ministry of their 'sister' congregation and community.

Our Mission Statement: The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod - in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
